We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at The Clermont.
The ideal candidate will work five nights per week, Wednesday through Sunday, carrying out cleaning duties after the restaurant has closed. As much of the work will be completed outside normal operating hours, we are looking for someone who is trustworthy, dependable and comfortable working independently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our restaurant is thoroughly cleaned and ready to a high standard for the following day's service.
Main Responsibilities
Thoroughly clean restaurant and dining areas after service.
Sweep, vacuum and mop all floors.
Clean and sanitise tables, chairs, booths and other furniture.
Thoroughly clean customer and staff toilets, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors and other surfaces.
Empty bins and replace bin liners.
Dispose of waste correctly in designated waste and recycling areas.
Clean doors, glass, windows and other high-touch surfaces.
Dust and wipe down fixtures, ledges and surfaces.
Clean staff areas and back-of-house areas as required.
Carry out periodic deeper-cleaning duties where necessary.
Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when required.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
Report any maintenance issues, damage, pest concerns or other problems noticed while cleaning.
Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely and securely after use.
Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures.
Ensure the restaurant is left clean, tidy and ready for the following day's service.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards.
Be comfortable working independently and unsupervised.
Be available to work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
Be comfortable working late-night/overnight hours.
Be able to carry out physical cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting and moving cleaning equipment.
Have a good understanding of hygiene and safe cleaning practices.
Be able to follow instructions and complete cleaning duties consistently.
Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality or commercial cleaning is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
The preferred working pattern is:
Wednesday – Sunday
5 shifts per week
Night-time / after restaurant closing
Exact start and finish times can be discussed with the successful candidate.
Experience
Previous commercial cleaning experience is an advantage, particularly within a restaurant, hotel, bar or hospitality environment, although training can be provided to the right candidate.
