Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled maintenance professional looking to work with a growing facilities and property services company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works across commercial, retail, and residential properties while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, customer service, and health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works.
- Complete general building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, painting, repairs, and basic electrical fault finding.
- Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate records of completed works and site reports.
- Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, contractors, and management.
- Adhere to company health & safety policies and procedures.
- Respond to occasional emergency maintenance call-outs where required.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, property maintenance, building services, or a similar role.
- Valid Safe Pass certification.
- Valid Manual Handling certification.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Strong all-round maintenance skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, organised, and capable of managing workloads effectively.
Desirable
- Trade qualification (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Mechanical, or equivalent).
- Experience working within commercial, retail, or residential property portfolios.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience using maintenance management systems or mobile reporting software.
