We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee operations in our busy tile and wood flooring distribution warehouse in Macroom. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment, managing warehouse staff, health and safety, maintaining efficient stock control, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and ultimately faster delivery times to our customers.
As our business continues to grow with the addition of our online website and our Dublin and Cork Showrooms, we are planning to introduce a two-shift warehouse system, and the successful candidate will play a key role in organising and managing this transition.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations
Lead, supervise, and support warehouse staff
Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management systems
Coordinate goods receiving, storage, and dispatch
Ensure the warehouse is organised, efficient, and operating safely
Assist with planning and managing two warehouse shifts
Operate forklifts when required and ensure safe handling of materials
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
Assist in constant improvement of our systems and ways of storing and delivering our products.
Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Proven experience with stock control and inventory management
Forklift experience (certification preferred)
Ability to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment
Good communication and team management skills
Preferred Experience
Experience working in building materials, flooring, or construction supply distribution
Experience managing teams in a high-volume warehouse environment
