The Role
As our Parts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Parts Department, ensuring efficient stock control, excellent customer service, and strong support for both the workshop and retail customers.
You will oversee parts ordering, inventory management, supplier relationships, departmental profitability, and team performance while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of the Parts Department operation
- Maintaining optimal stock levels and inventory control
- Monitoring and improving parts sales performance and profitability
- Supporting the Service Department with timely parts supply
- Developing relationships with suppliers and negotiating where appropriate
- Managing warranty parts returns and manufacturer compliance requirements
- Ensuring accurate invoicing, stock audits, and reporting procedures
- Delivering exceptional customer service to both trade and retail customers
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Parts Manager or Parts Advisor within the motor industry
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and departmental performance
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong IT and stock management system experience
- Experience with Nissan systems, Autoview, Kerridge or similar dealer management systems is advantageous but not essential
