We are seeking a professional and highly organised Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across academic programmes within a private third-level education institute.
This role is central to the effective coordination of learner admissions, academic records, programme administration, learner support and institutional activities. The successful candidate will work closely with academic staff, learners and management to ensure that administrative processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities
· Support academic programmes across the full learner lifecycle, from admissions through to completion.
· Coordinate timetables, assessments, results processing and certification activities.
· Maintain accurate academic records in line with institutional procedures and quality standards.
· Prepare registers, reports and administrative documentation as required.
· Provide day-to-day administrative support to academic staff and programme teams.
· Support learner recruitment, admissions, enrolment and registration processes.
· Respond to learner queries by email, telephone and in person in a professional and timely manner.
· Act as a key point of contact for academic administration matters.
· Support learner progression, deferrals, withdrawals and completion processes.
· Help ensure a positive and responsive learner experience across all stages of engagement.
· Provide administrative support to academic meetings, committees and related governance activity.
· Maintain programme and academic documentation accurately and securely.
· Support learner inductions, open days, information sessions, awards events and other institute activities.
· Assist with promotional and outreach activities and attend events as required.
· Undertake other duties appropriate to the role, as assigned from time to time.
· Ensure the secure and confidential handling of learner, staff and institutional data.
· Comply with relevant data protection legislation and internal policies and procedures.
Person Specification – Essential
· A third-level qualification at Level 6 or higher.
· Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within an education or learner-facing environment.
· Strong organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· High attention to detail, accuracy and professionalism.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
Person Specification – Desirable
· Experience in a third-level or private education setting.
· Familiarity with learner, academic or student management systems.
· Experience supporting events, admissions or promotional activities.
