About the role
We are looking for a creative, outgoing and reliable Social Media & Content Coordinator to help showcase our bar, events and atmosphere across social media.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands what makes engaging content and is comfortable visiting the venue to capture photographs and videos—particularly during live music, sporting events, busy nights and special promotions.
The ideal candidate will understand current social media trends, have a good eye for content and be confident turning ideas into posts, reels and stories that appeal to our target audience.
Main responsibilities
- Plan and create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
- Visit the bar regularly to capture high-quality photographs and short-form video.
- Create and edit reels, TikToks, stories, promotional graphics and event content.
- Promote live music, sporting events, drinks offers, competitions and other activities.
- Prepare a weekly or monthly social media content plan.
- Schedule and publish content consistently across our social media channels.
- Write clear and engaging captions that reflect the personality of the bar.
- Respond to comments and messages where required.
- Follow relevant social media trends and suggest creative ways the bar can use them.
- Work with management to develop campaigns, competitions and promotional ideas.
- Help grow our online following, engagement and awareness locally.
- Monitor content performance and provide a simple monthly update on results.
- Ensure all content is appropriate, accurate and consistent with the bar’s brand.
What we are looking for
- A strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
- Experience creating social media content for a business, organisation or personal brand.
- Good photography and video-recording skills using a smartphone or camera.
- Experience editing short-form video.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Creative, organised and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a busy bar environment.
- Reliable and available to capture content during selected evenings, weekends and events.
- An interest in hospitality, nightlife, music, sport or local events would be an advantage.
Desirable but not essential
- Previous social media or marketing experience within hospitality.
- Graphic-design or photography experience.
- A relevant qualification/ in a course in marketing, media, communications or content creation.
