As a Cost Engineer, you'll play a critical role in helping deliver complex infrastructure and capital programmes that improve communities, enhance connectivity and create lasting value. About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Cost Engineer to join our expanding Programme Management & Advisory team. You'll be responsible for supporting the planning, monitoring and control of project costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting and performance management.
Working within multidisciplinary teams, you'll help provide the commercial intelligence that supports informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
What You'll Do
Develop, maintain and monitor project cost plans and budgets
Track project performance against cost baselines and forecast future expenditure
Prepare cost reports, dashboards and management information for project teams and clients
Analyse cost performance, trends, risks and opportunities
Support change control and cost impact assessments
Collaborate with project controls, planning, commercial and delivery teams
Ensure cost management processes are followed consistently and accurately
Contribute to project governance, assurance and reporting activities
Support continuous improvement initiatives across programme controls and project delivery functions
Here's what you'll need
You'll be a collaborative and analytical professional who enjoys solving problems, working with data and influencing project outcomes.
You'll bring:
Experience in cost engineering, project controls, cost management or a related discipline
Strong financial, analytical and reporting skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Exposure to cost management, reporting or project controls tools
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team environment
A proactive mindset with a focus on accuracy, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results
Ideally, You'll Also Have
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, Cost Management or a related discipline
Professional membership or progress towards chartership with a relevant professional body
Experience working within complex, high-value programmes or projects
Knowledge of industry-standard cost management methodologies and project controls principles
