Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will help grow new business and strengthen client relationships across ICE Group’s service lines, including Recruitment and Payroll.
This is a commercially focused role with an emphasis on proactive outreach, lead generation, opportunity qualification, and supporting internal teams to convert prospects into secured business—while maintaining a professional, consultative approach with clients.
Key Responsibilities – Business Development & Commercial Outreach
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across public and private sector organisations, aligned to ICE Group’s Recruitment and Payroll services

Execute a structured outreach plan (warm and cold calling, LinkedIn, referrals, and inbound follow-up) to engage decision-makers and understand their needs

Qualify prospects (need, timing, stakeholders, and solution fit) and progress interest into structured opportunities

Build and maintain an accurate pipeline in the CRM, ensuring high-quality notes, next steps, and basic forecasting
Client Relationship Building
- Build credibility with prospects through strong discovery, clear communication, and consistent follow-up

Support account planning activity by identifying cross-service opportunities (e.g., Recruitment and Payroll) in a client-first manner

Maintain a professional network within target sectors and contribute to improved messaging based on market insights
Opportunity & Pipeline Management
- Manage early-stage opportunities from initial contact through qualification

Maintain accurate CRM records, notes, and opportunity tracking

Provide regular pipeline and activity updates
Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing to leverage campaigns, content, and collateral for sales conversations

Provide market feedback on lead quality and client responses

Liaise with internal delivery teams to support smooth handover of secured opportunities
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in sales, business development, or commercial support roles

Comfortable with proactive outreach and phone-based sales activity

Strong communication and organizational skills

Target-driven and self-motivated

CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency

Full, clean driving license preferable
Desirable:
- Experience working within recruitment, staffing, HR services, or payroll-related environments

Understanding of recruitment delivery processes and/or payroll service models

Confidence supporting proposal/RFP responses and preparing basic commercial documentation
