Job Description
As an energy engineer/consultant you will:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of our energy management platform; Analysing and reporting on energy related data.
- Implement AI and machine learning to streamline business and data management processes.
- Integrate external data sources into the Arden platform using APIs and other appropriate tools.
- Collate, analyse, and report on complex sets of energy data and develop appropriate tools for automating same.
- Assist in research projects related to energy management and ICT (e.g. smart metering, BMS)
- Lead and execute research projects related to energy auditing, energy management and ICT in energy management (eg smart metering, BMS).
- Deliver energy management services to clients, facilitating and driving energy use and cost reductions.
- Collate, analyse and report on complex sets of energy data using excel and other software tools.
- Visit clients and prospective clients to carry out energy audits for commercial and industrial markets and provide a business case for investment in energy efficiency.
- Initiate and develop strong business relationships with clients.

Qualification and Skills
Essential Criteria:
- Hons Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong ICT, data management and data analysis skills with hands on technical experience
- Background in an energy engineering/consultancy role preferably with experience of energy auditing and energy management.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of energy efficiency, energy management and renewable energy sources.
- Excellent project management/organisational skills with ability to concurrently manage diverse workloads and competing demands.
- Exceptional report writing skills .
- Candidates must be currently eligible to work in Ireland without restriction and must hold valid work permit/visa if required.
Desirable Criteria:
- Specialist professional qualification desirable (eg Masters, Chartered, SEAI Registered Energy Auditor etc.)
- Experience of energy research.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively contribute to business development.
