The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the daily operation, leadership, and financial performance of the hotel's restaurant outlets. This role ensures exceptional guest service, maintains high operational standards, and ensures compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the smooth running of all restaurant operations, ensuring excellent service standards at all times.
Ability to work any shift- breakfast/ lunch /evening depending on business needs.
Maintain efficient opening, operating, and closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines, Health & Safety regulations, and hotel policies.
Monitor stock levels, manage deliveries, and ensure proper storage, rotation, and waste control.
Recruit, train, and develop restaurant staff, conducting performance reviews, coaching sessions, and ongoing development plans.
Ensure warm, professional, and attentive service in line with the hotel's brand standards.
Drive food and beverage sales through upselling, promotions, menu initiatives, and special events.
Manage departmental budgets, cost of sales, stock variance, and labour costs.
Manage cash handling, till procedures, and daily financial reporting.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a restaurant leadership role (Supervisor, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or Restaurant Manager).
Previous experience in a hotel restaurant environment is strongly preferred.
Proven track record in managing teams, delivering excellent guest service, and running high-volume operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop staff.
Familiarity with stock control, ordering systems, and cost management.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally.
Knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and Health & Safety procedures.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
