Tuckk Inn is Dublin’s go to spot for smash burgers and crispy chicken tenders. We are a growing food brand operating across dine in and delivery platforms, and we are looking for a hands on Kitchen Head Chef / Manager to take responsibility for the day to day running of our kitchen.
The Role
We are looking for someone who can lead from the front and take full ownership of the kitchen operation.
You will be responsible for food preparation, kitchen standards, stock control, ordering, staff management, training, food safety and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently every day.
This is a hands on position, so you will be expected to work alongside the team while also managing and supervising the overall kitchen operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day running of the kitchen
- Lead, supervise and support the kitchen team
- Maintain high standards of food quality, portion control and consistency
- Ensure all food is prepared correctly and according to company recipes and procedures
- Manage food preparation and make sure sufficient stock is prepared for service
- Manage stock levels and carry out regular stock counts
- Place and track supplier orders
- Monitor food waste and help control kitchen costs
- Recruit and onboard new kitchen staff when required
- Train staff and maintain strong performance standards across the team
- Prepare and manage weekly kitchen staff rosters
- Complete HACCP records, temperature checks and all required food safety documentation
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and food safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Make sure cleaning schedules and kitchen procedures are followed correctly
- Identify operational issues and take responsibility for resolving them
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, Senior Chef or similar kitchen leadership role
- Strong hands on kitchen experience
- Experience managing and training kitchen staff
- Good understanding of HACCP and Irish food safety requirements
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain food quality and consistency in a busy environment
- Comfortable managing stock, ordering, rosters and kitchen paperwork
- Reliable and able to take ownership of the kitchen without constant supervision
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
