TRIONA is looking for a Handweaver to join our weaving team in Donegal Town.
The role involves weaving tweed on a double-width handloom, working with natural fibres and a variety of yarns and designs.
The Role
- Operating a double-width handloom
- Preparing yarns and setting up the loom
- Weaving fabrics to a high standard
- Checking quality and identifying weaving faults
- Basic loom maintenance and adjustments
- Working closely with our design and production team
About You
- Some practical experience in handweaving is required
- A good understanding of weaving and loom operation
- An interest in traditional Irish weaving and craftsmanship
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Reliable and able to work independently
We are open to applicants who have gained their weaving experience through formal training, practical experience or traditional/family-based learning.
