Experienced Accountant / bookkeeper required for local business. The role is fulltime on-site in Roscommon town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Timely processing and payment of supplier invoices
- Preparing monthly creditors reconciliations.
- Stock reconciliations and review of movements
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments on queries as requested.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of vat returns
- Work with Financial Controller to review and update accounts payable documents and procedures.
- Assist Finance Dept. with analysis/reconciliations as required.
- Other Ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong in excel and accounting packages
- Ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn.
- Good Communication Skills.

This is a permanent role (after 6 month probation period), but with the growth & developement of the business there is a prospects for progression within the Group. Responsibilities will be varied and will evolve for the right person.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be expected to be able to take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting side of the one of our businesses. A lot of the role will be independent working, ability to make decisions, take responsibility and grow the role within the Group. Training provided to the right candidate, with constant in person support on the job.
