Old Oak is looking for an experienced commis chef to join our team & continue our tradition of serving awesome food, cocktails and live music. Dedicated to creating the best experience for all our guests, is more than just your average venue. Key responsibilities and accountability To prepare, cook and present all food items correctly and efficiently. To ensure all food products are stored and rotated as per Old Oak's standard To ensure that the cooking & prep area and back kitchen areas are kept clean at all times (utensils, work surfaces and floors) whilst carrying out all daily and weekly cleaning schedules To set up and close down the restaurant to the standards agreed by the management team To comply with all reasonable requests from a member of the Management Team Follow all regulations in relation to Food Safety and Hygiene Key attributes: Fluent English and excellent communication skills Works well under pressure The ability to work in a team environment The ability to work in a quick and efficient manner at pace Good attention to detail and takes a pride in his/her work High standard of personal appearance and hygiene Punctual and reliable Knowledge/ skills required Good knowledge of food preparation and basic food hygiene Previous experience within busy kitchen environment Must be available to work Full time hours Minimum of 1 years experience What you can expect: Competitive rate of pay A flexible working environment A career, not just a job!
