We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Control Room Operator to join our team.
The Role
As a Security Control Room Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security on one of our our client sites. Operating from a control room, you will monitor security systems, respond to incidents, coordinate responses, and ensure all security procedures are followed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and other security platforms.
- Respond to alarms and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all events and security-related activities.
- Coordinate with onsite teams, management, contractors, and client representatives as required.
- Escalate incidents in accordance with procedures.
- Conduct routine system checks and report any faults or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce reports and maintain clear communication during shifts and handovers.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a security control room, operations centre, or similar environment.
- Valid PSA Security Licence (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good IT skills, including experience using CCTV and access control systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Flexible approach to shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Desirable
- Experience managing security incidents and emergency responses.
- Knowledge of CCTV legislation and data protection requirements.
- Experience within corporate, retail, healthcare, or critical infrastructure environments.
