This is a permanent position, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available, at Queer Hawk.
We’re looking for talented and experienced Barbers who are passionate about queer, alternative and expressive hair and want to be part of a welcoming LGBTQIA+ space.
Part-time roles are also available, and we welcome applications from international students with Stamp 4 permission to work in Ireland, provided they have relevant professional experience and the skills required for the role. Conversational English is essentialfor client consultations, communication with the team and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements for Experienced Barber:
- Strong barbering, hair styling and hair cutting skills
- Proven professional experience as a Barber
- Experience confidently working with short, medium and long hair
- Experience with a wide range of cuts, including fades, tapers, textured cuts, scissor cuts, mullets, shag cuts, wolf cuts, buzz cuts and other alternative and creative styles
- Experience with creative and unconventional haircutsis highly desirable
- Strong understanding of current barbering trends and the ability to personalise cuts to each client
- A passion for queer, creative and alternative looks
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to confidently consult with clients and understand their individual style and desired result
- Attention to detail, creativity and a high standard of finish
- Relevant professional experience, qualifications or demonstrated skills
- Conversational English is essential
- Valid permission to work in Ireland is required. International students with Stamp 4 permission are welcome to apply
