Security Officer
About the Role
C&T Security Group is seeking professional, reliable and motivated Security Officers to join our growing team.
This role can suit two types of candidates:
Some people may want to work as a professional security officer, carry out their duties to a high standard and remain in an officer role.
Others may want to grow with the company, take on additional responsibility and support management as the business expands.
Both types of candidates are welcome. We value reliable officers who take pride in their work, and we also want to create opportunities for those who want to progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional security presence on assigned sites.
- Protect people, property, staff, visitors and client assets.
- Carry out patrols, access control, monitoring and incident response.
- Complete accurate daily reports, incident reports and handover notes.
- Follow site procedures, company standards and client requirements.
- Liaise professionally with clients, visitors, contractors and emergency services.
- Report risks, hazards, incidents or concerns to management.
- Represent C&T Security Group in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
Optional Progression Responsibilities
For candidates who want to grow with the company, there may be opportunities over time to assist management with:
- Site coordination and operational support.
- Staff communication and handovers.
- Supporting new team members.
- Reporting and quality checks.
- Client communication.
- Roster updates and shift cover coordination.
- Helping maintain high standards across sites.
These responsibilities will depend on experience, performance, reliability and business needs.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid PSA licence.
- Previous security experience preferred but not always essential.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good written English and report-writing ability.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to follow instructions and company procedures.
- Flexible approach to working hours, locations and duties.
- Full clean driving licence is an advantage but not essential.

This role does not require every candidate to move into management or take on extra duties. If you want to work as a reliable professional security officer, we welcome that.
