Role Overview
The Field Service Engineer is an entry‑level technical position reporting to the MTS and Senior Engineer. The role is customer‑facing and requires a solid technical foundation, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to perform equipment set‑up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic hardware/software issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Tool Management
- Perform equipment set‑up using manuals, SOPs, and established procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve basic electro‑mechanical, hardware, software, and user‑related issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance, replace defective parts, implement CIP actions, and install software/patches in line with SOPs.
- Collect and analyse equipment data logs, complete GCB documentation, and upload logs for review.
Customer Management
- Respond promptly to customer‑reported issues or escalate to Senior Engineer/MTS as required.
- Understand customer systems and daily monitoring tools to support basic issue interpretation.
Document Management
- Maintain accurate service history records and perform regular equipment status checks.
- Record serial numbers of replaced parts and enter daily service data.
- Complete daily entries in MyService (local system).
- Draft and update SOPs for set‑up, removal, replacement, and other technical procedures.
Alarm Management
- Conduct scheduled inspections for in‑warranty or contract equipment and log alarm conditions.
- Prepare consolidated alarm summary reports (weekly, monthly, annual).
Accessories & JIG Management
- Organise and inventory office and customer JIGs and accessories monthly.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder or escalate when below safety stock.
- Maintain CIP/demo parts inventory.
- Track usage of replacement parts and complete release forms for new part requests.
Safety & Site Management
- Comply with all company and customer safety guidelines and ensure co‑workers follow safety norms.
- Maintain orderly site conditions, ensuring tools, parts, and accessories meet safety standards.
Support
- Travel for short assignments as directed by MTS or Senior Engineer to support other customer sites.
On‑Duty Requirements
- Participate in a rotating standby schedule to support 24/7 customer operations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by MTS or Senior Engineer.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma with 2 years’ experience in a related industry
- QQI Level 6 (technical/trades background preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant technical or industrial environment

Pay: €45,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
