Overview
IRE Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Soldering Operator to join a well-established electronics manufacturing team in Cork City.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong attention to detail and experience working with PCB assembly and repair in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of soldering tasks including surface mount (SMT), plated through-hole, and hand soldering
- Use microscopes and precision tools to add or remove small components on printed circuit boards
- Carry out PCB inspection and identify defects or faults
- Complete PCB repairs and component replacements to a high standard
- Follow strict ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and safety procedures at all times
- Ensure all work is completed within required timeframes and quality standards
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient and cost-effective repair processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in soldering within an electronics or manufacturing environment
- Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering essential
- Ability to work with microscopes and fine components
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good understanding of PCB layouts and electronic components
- Ability to work as part of a team and meet production targets
