Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and organised veterinary receptionist to join our independent veterinary practice. This a key front of house position within a busy mixed animal practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for large and small animal clients and their pets.
Responsibilities:
-Greet all clients and welcome them to the clinic.
-Answering phone calls and book appointments.
-Checking in patients upon arrival and dealing with payments.
-Manage and maintain medical records.
-Manage the reception area.
-Assist the vets and vet nurses with any administration tasks.
-Run lab tests under the direction of vet and vet nurses.
-Dealing with client queries on the phone or in person at the clinic such as pet insurance.
-Ordering food and medications.
-Managing stock
-Managing a busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism.
Experience:
-Previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist in a veterinary practice is preferred but not essential.
-Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is essential.
-Good communication skill and phone manner.
-Multi-tasking.
-Be proficient in computer systems and software such as word, Excel.
Job type: Full time permanent
Pay: From €16/hr
Hours: 35-40 hrs/week Monday-Friday
