The Opportunity
Accenture is looking to recruit capital project practitioners within our I&CP team in Ireland with experience of one or more of the following areas of capital projects: PMO, digital engineering / BIM, asset management, project controls, sustainable operations, DfMA and delivery optimisation or wider business development within the Infrastructure and Capital Projects industry.
This is focused on helping our clients achieve their ambitions for digital transformation whilst delivering greenfield and brownfield construction and engineering programmes. This includes working with colleagues across the practice to consider the full lifecycle of their assets, especially into asset management. We digitize, optimize and transform our clients’ traditional ways of delivering throughout the lifecycle.
In this you will:
Shape, sell and deliver projects that create tangible value by designing future ways of working – operating models, business functions and processes, and technology, whilst working closely with business and technology strategists, process owners and domain experts.
Help clients target and deliver value through the digital transformation of their Capital Projects activities.
Develop enduring, trust-based relationships with people at all career levels, both professionally and personally, internally, and externally. This includes receiving and providing (based on experience) coaching and career development across the I&CP practice.
Use data and analytics to drive decision making, implement new ways of working and change operational behaviours.
Provide points of view on key industry challenges and trends and present an impetus for change in industry context.
Support client innovation workshops and use a human-centered approach to solve problems, frame opportunities and achieve innovation through collaboration and co-creation.
The Person
The successful candidate will have good knowledge in one or more core Infrastructure & Capital Projects industries (listed below). They will apply digital technologies combined with people, process and data to implement improvement programmes / projects within our target industries.
Target industries are Asset- and Energy-intensive industries including:
Energy, Utilities (water, power, nuclear, wind), Chemicals
Infrastructure and Networks including Road & Rail, Telecoms, Construction Services, Data Centres
Candidates should be willing to travel to domestic and international locations
We are looking for experience across a selection of the following skills:
Experience of successful delivery of complex and ambitious projects from a professional programme & project management (client facing) perspective to time, cost and quality objectives.
Has worked in consulting team delivery and depending on experience team leading roles with a track record of managing and delivering projects successfully on time and on budget.
Knowledge of existing, new and emerging digital technologies and being able to identify use cases to apply them across Capital Projects processes.
Developing the argument, solution architecture, and implementation roadmap for clients’ transformation journeys.
Work effectively as a supportive team member or a domain expert and have the ability to lead delivery teams.
Set yourself apart if you can demonstrate some of the areas below:
Professional qualification in project management, such as the APM, PMI, PRINCE2 or similar.
An engineering or science subject area or possess suitable experience in lieu of qualification.
Knowledge or experience of systems and tools used in Infrastructure & Capital Projects.
Strong, validated capability in successful project, programme or portfolio management of complex schemes, especially during their development phase.
Has sales support experience with new clients or growing existing clients with experience in business development support, RFP response and consulting services sales.
Knowledge and understanding of different types of business and operating models (existing, new, emerging and hybrid).
Comprehensive design thinking and workshop facilitation experience.
Experiencing of large scale delivery and organizational change management associated with it.
Good client contacts and industry network is highly desirable.
