Bridge Enterprise Centres (BEC) is a business support hub providing office space, hot desks, postal services, and meeting/conference room hire. We run a busy calendar of business events and manage the DLR West Business Association (DLRWBA).
BEC is also home to TheHub@Bridge, a dedicated enterprise support hub for idea-stage founders, start-ups, and ambitious businesses looking to grow and scale. Members benefit from workspace, mentoring, business support, networking opportunities, and access to a vibrant entrepreneurial community.
DLR West Business Association (DLRWBA) is a nonprofit organisation that supports SMEs and local businesses in the Nutgrove, Churchtown, and Ballinteer areas of Dublin by providing networking opportunities, business training, expert-led workshops, and practical guidance on topics such as AI, sustainability, customer engagement, and business growth. The association aims to strengthen the local business community, help members improve efficiency and resilience, and create opportunities for collaboration, learning, and long-term business development.
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, creative Event Manager to take full ownership of our events programme - delivering high-quality events that drive engagement, attendance, and revenue across BEC and DLRWBA.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a monthly programme of events including webinars, networking events, lunch & learns, breakfast briefings, and DLRWBA “Second Tuesday” events.
- Research relevant business topics and secure high-quality speakers and presenters.
- Manage all event logistics including venue setup, registrations, AV requirements, catering, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up.
- Host and facilitate both in-person and online events.
- Create and execute event marketing campaigns across email, social media, website, and local promotional channels.
- Drive revenue through event sponsorship, ticket sales, and promotion of BEC & DLRWBA services, including:
- DLRWBA Membership
- Meeting room hire
- Conference room hire (up to 60 people)
- Hot desks and office space
- Postal and virtual office services
- Out-of-hours room hire
- TheHub@Bridge enterprise support programme
- Manage the events and marketing budget, ensuring expenditure is controlled.
- Source suppliers and negotiate with venues, caterers, speakers, and service providers to secure the best value and service quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Monitor attendance, lead generation, revenue, and engagement metrics, providing regular performance reports and recommendations.
- Promote TheHub@Bridge to entrepreneurs, start-ups, and scaling businesses through events, partnerships, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder engagement.
- Generate leads and referrals for TheHub@Bridge, showcasing its mentoring, workspace, business support, and growth programmes.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience in event management.
- Proven experience delivering both in-person and virtual events from concept through to completion.
- Proficiency in HubSpot, including CRM management, event campaigns, email marketing, and reporting.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with a proven ability to generate revenue opportunities.
- Experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective outcomes.
Key Skillsets
- Creativity: Ability to develop engaging event concepts, themes, and experiences for SME audiences.
- Marketing: Experience promoting events through email marketing, LinkedIn, social media, website content, and local outreach.
- Canva: Strong Canva skills for creating event graphics, invitations, social media content, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Technical/Event Technology:
- Confident using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and webinar platforms.
- Comfortable managing AV requirements for live and hybrid events.
- Microsoft Office:
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to create professional, branded presentation decks.
- Strong Excel skills for budgeting, reporting, and event tracking.
- Proficient in Outlook and Word.
- Content Creation: Ability to write engaging event copy, speaker profiles, promotional messaging, and post-event communications.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Desirable
- Experience setting up and managing paid digital advertising campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, Meta, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with SMEs, business associations, or business support organisations.
- Experience securing sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools.
