This role offers an opportunity for a successful candidate to join a GP practice in the suburbs of Limerick. Candidate selection is dependent on experience and ability to fulfil the roles below, experience of General Practice and/or Occupational Health is an advantage.

Clinical Responsibilities;
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor.
- Antenatal and Postnatal Visits.
- Assessment-management of minor illnesses.
- Audiometry.
- Cervical smear taking.
- Chronic Disease Management.
- Clinical follow-up, communication, and management.
- Clinical governance.
- Consultation phone and in person.
- Contraception Services; Consultation, Insertion & Removal (Intra Uterine Devices, Subdermal implants etc).
- Cryotherapy.
- Ear Syringing and Microsuction.
- ECG.
- Health promotion.
- Height and weight checking.
- Nurse prescribing.
- Occupational services.
- Phlebotomy.
- Sexual health services.
- Spirometry.
- Travel Consultation.
- Triage and consultation.
- Urinalysis.
- Vaccines Administration and Management (Child, Adult, Antenatal, Travel etc)
- Venesection.
- Vision testing.
- Wound Management.
- And other similar clinical responsibilities.
Administrative Responsibilities;
- Audit cycle.
- Bookkeeping and billing.
- Coding healthcare records.
- Liaising with external contractors.
- Maintaining a high standard of patient and client care at all times
- Managing appointments.
- Managing prescription requests.
- PCRS submission and tracking of STC payments.
- Record keeping.
- Stock management.
- Timely posting of samples/transfer to local laboratory.
- Triaging appointments, via phone call and in person.
- And other similar administrative responsibilities.
Hours of work (a rota system within same likely with on average 33.5 hours per week or €43,550 - €47,034/yr):
Rota as follows (alternating between week 1 and week 2);
Week 1:
- Monday 8:45-17:30
- Tuesday 8:45-17:30
- Wednesday 8:45-14:00
- Thursday 8:45-17:30
- Friday 8:45-17:30
Week 2;
- Wednesday 8:45-17:30
- Thursday 8:45-17:30
- Friday 8:45-17:30
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required infrequently.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €25.00-€27.00 per hour
