Housekeeping / Accommodation Assistants
In July, we're opening Omos - a 16-bedroom Guesthouse and 40-seat Restaurant set on 4.2 acres just outside the heritage town of Abbeyleix, County Laois.
The name Omos - meaning homage, duty, and respect, reflects our intention behind the project: to create something lasting and meaningful. A Guesthouse and Restaurant that feel like they belong - that reflect our neighbourhood and community, and that generously welcome curiosity, craft, and discovery.
As we prepare for our opening, we are now recruiting Housekeeping/ Accommodation Assistants reporting directly to our Accommodation Manager.
In joining Omos, you will will become an important part of our Guesthouse team; central to providing a special experience for our guests in our 16-bedroom guesthouse and bringing a warm, positive energy to the wider team.
You will ensure our housekeeping is maintained at the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout the guesthouse.
This role combines hands-on housekeeping and cleaning to allowing us to deliver a guest experience that feels welcoming, intentional, and special. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have experience in a Guesthouse or a Hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness and presentation of all guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces

Following daily work schedules, ensure rooms are prepared to luxury standards for arrivals, stayovers, and departures

Handle special guest requests with discretion and professionalism

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Laundry & Linen Management

Maintaining our laundry operations and ensure linens, towels, and amenities are well stocked, spotless, and presented to luxury standards
Quality Control & Guest Experience

Maintain consistency in room setup, amenities, and presentation

Respond to guest feedback or complaints professionally and efficiently

Ensure privacy, security, and confidentiality of all guests at all times
The Person:

Strong attention to detail with a passion for cleanliness and presentation

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Discreet, trustworthy, and has a guest-focused approach

Good communication skills in English (additional languages an advantage)

Working knowledge of health & safety and hygiene standards and experience with working with cleaning chemicals, along with inventory management

Legally eligible to work full time in Ireland

Full driving license.
