Loinnir Brewing is an independent craft brewery and restaurant in the heart of Killarney. We brew exceptional craft beers while offering a welcoming dining experience that showcases quality local food and hospitality. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a motivated and commercially minded Business Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of both our brewery and restaurant.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the commercial and operational performance of our brewery and restaurant. Working closely with the owners, you’ll drive business growth, ensure exceptional customer experiences, support the management team, and help develop Loinnir Brewing as a destination for both craft beer and great food.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the brewery, restaurant, and visitor experience.
- Lead and support department managers and staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve growth and profitability.
- Manage budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities across hospitality, wholesale, retail, tourism, and events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and local business partners.
- Monitor inventory, purchasing, stock control, and operational efficiency across all departments.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Monitor KPIs and use data to improve business performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, licensing, and employment regulations.
- Work alongside the marketing team to support promotions, events, brewery tours, and brand development.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with excellent leadership skills.
Essential
- Proven experience in a business management, operations management, or general management role.
- Experience managing hospitality, restaurant, food and beverage, or tourism operations.
- Strong financial and commercial understanding, including budgeting and performance analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience in the brewing, craft beer, or drinks industry.
- Sales and business development experience.
- Knowledge of the Irish hospitality and tourism sector.
- Experience managing multi-department operations.
