We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. The Kitchen Porter will play an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently while supporting the chefs and wider kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Clean floors, work surfaces, sinks, storage areas, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
- Ensure food storage areas are kept clean and organised.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Keep the kitchen properly stocked with clean equipment and supplies.
- Follow all food safety, health and safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and carry out manual tasks.
- Good understanding of workplace hygiene and safety.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
Working Hours
