Restaurant Manager – MORSO sandwich shop | €36,000 starting salary | Daytime hours only
MORSO is a busy, independent sandwich shop on Drury Street, serving made-to-order sandwiches on freshly baked schiacciata.
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operation.
The successful candidate will work alongside our Head Chef, Sous Chef and kitchen team, helping with preparation and getting the shop ready before service. During service, their main responsibility will be running front of house, leading the floor team and making sure service is organised, fast and friendly.
This is not a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager position. Kitchen experience is required because the manager must understand food preparation, food safety and how the kitchen and front of house work together.
The role includes:
- Helping the Head Chef, Sous Chef and kitchen team with preparation before service
- Running front of house during busy, high-volume services
- Leading, training and managing the floor team
- Organising staff positions, breaks and service flow
- Maintaining excellent customer service
- Communicating clearly with the kitchen throughout service
- Managing rotas, labour and daily staffing
- Opening and closing the shop
- Cash handling and daily reporting
- Supporting ordering, stock control and waste management
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness and food-safety standards
The right person must have:
- Previous restaurant, café or fast-casual management experience
- Practical kitchen or food-preparation experience
- Strong front-of-house leadership experience
- The ability to lead from the floor during a busy service
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A genuine interest in food and hospitality
This is a full-time, permanent role with daytime hours only. The starting salary is €36,000 per year, with a salary review after six months based on performance.
