Job Description:
As a Server/Bar staff member at Oxhorn Grill, you will be an essential part of creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Your friendly manner, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional service will play a key role in ensuring that every visit to our restaurant is memorable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Offer recommendations and answer questions about the menu.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the point-of-sale system. Ensure special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
- Table Maintenance: Set and clear tables efficiently. Ensure tables are properly set with utensils, glassware, and condiments. Monitor and replenish beverages as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure food and beverages are served promptly and according to established standards. Address guest concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate the timing of food and drinks to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Payment Processing: Accurately process guest payments, including handling cash, credit cards, and electronic payments. Reconcile checks and provide receipts.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist in the cleanliness of the dining area, including tidying tables and assisting with post-service cleaning tasks.
- Guest Relations: Interact with guests in a friendly and attentive manner. Be responsive to guest feedback and communicate any special occasions or celebrations to the team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred but not required. We are willing to train candidates with the right attitude and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of food and beverage items on the menu is a plus.
