Experienced Delicatessen Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Savoury Fare, Fernhill Garden Centre, Athlone
Savoury Fare is a busy, well-established restaurant located within Fernhill Garden Centre in Athlone. We are currently seeking an experienced Full Time Delicatessen Assistant to join our fast-paced team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and has previous experience working in a high-volume deli or food service setting.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Extensive experience working in a delicatessen or similar food service environment.
- Excellent spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
- A friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant.
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work as part of a team while also using initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving a wide range of fresh deli foods.
- Providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, presentation, and cleanliness.
- Monitoring food quality and ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.
- Assisting with stock rotation, replenishment, and daily deli operations.
- Supporting colleagues to ensure the smooth running of a busy restaurant.
