Sales Executive Job Description Glynns Home & Hardware
Responsibilities:
- Executives are responsible for selling the company's products and services to customers, including builders, contractors, developers, commercial enterprises, and government organizations.
- In addition to acquiring new business by approaching potential customers, Sales Executives maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
- The sales division works on a target-driven basis, which can result in demanding work conditions.
Key Functions
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with Key Accounts.
- Conducting market research to prepare a detailed prospecting list.
- Setting a weekly journey plan and completing a daily sales report as part of the reporting procedure. Copies to General Manager.
- Presenting products or services in a structured and professional manner during face-to-face interactions.
- Understanding customer requirements and delivering presentations tailored to facilitate sales.
- Maintaining relationships with existing customers through meetings, telephone calls, emails, and text messages.
- Cold calling to schedule meetings with potential clients to explore new business opportunities.
- Responding promptly to incoming text messages, emails, and phone inquiries. Providing competitive quotes whenever possible.
- Serving as the liaison between the company and its current and prospective markets.
- Negotiating terms of agreements, completing credit report applications, establishing new credit terms, and finalizing sales transactions.
- Arranging the collection of all outstanding payments from customers on the due date.
- Creating quotations and detailed proposal documents as part of a formal bidding process. Setting prices according to quotations provided to new customers.
- Addressing any objections to encourage purchase decisions.
- Advising customers on upcoming promotional activities and discussing special promotions.
- Attending Sales Team meetings and sharing best practices with colleagues.
- Building contacts with suppliers and supplier representatives to gain a better understanding of the products being sold.
- Collecting market and customer data and sending regular reports to the General Manager.

Sales Executives report to the General Manager.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: Up to €65,000.00 per year
