About the Role
Direct Strike Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Company Accountant to join our team and take care of the day-to-day finances of the business. You'll get hands-on exposure across payroll, bookkeeping, tax, and reporting. It is a great opportunity if you are looking to broaden your experience and take on more ownership within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Keeping our books up-to-date and accurate
- Process Irish monthly payroll using BrightPay
- Prepare monthly accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and liaise with Revenue on tax compliance matters
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
- Assist with year-end accounts preparation
- Monitor cash flow and budgets, flagging variances to management
- Maintain internal financial controls and processes
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements (CRO filings)
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in accounting
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred; qualified by experience also considered
- Practical experience with BrightPay or similar Irish payroll software
- Comfortable with Irish tax basics
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Organised, accurate, and good at managing your workload
- Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise internally and externally
