Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic English Language Teacher to deliver high-quality ELT/ESL lessons to adult and/or junior learners. The successful candidate will be passionate about language education, culturally aware, and committed to maintaining high academic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, communicative English language lessons in line with CEFR standards
- Teach a range of levels (A1–C1/C2) as required
- Prepare lesson materials and adapt resources to meet learners’ needs
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Complete attendance records, reports, and assessments as required
- Contribute to placement testing and end-of-course evaluations
- Participate in CPD sessions and staff meetings
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
- Level 6 recognised ELT qualification (e.g. CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent – minimum 120 hours and 6 (60-minute) hours of observed and assessed teaching practice with ELE students)
- Bachelor’s degree (essential for visa/work permit compliance where applicable)
- Previous ESL teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Pay: From €22.00 per hour
