Role Description The Accounts & Finance Manager Motor Dealership role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Cork Metropolitan Area. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly reporting. The Accounts & Finance Manager will monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements and supporting audit processes. The role includes overseeing dealership financial performance, working closely with sales and service departments to analyze margins, stock levels, and profitability, and providing insights to support strategic decisions. The individual will also be responsible for improving financial controls, maintaining accurate records, guiding junior finance staff, and contributing to continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, financial statements, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support dealership performance and decision-making.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit preparation within a commercial or automotive environment.
- Experience using accounting and dealership management software, with strong Excel and other MS Office skills.
- Ability to lead and support finance team members, with well-developed organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, service, and senior management.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience in a motor dealership or retail/wholesale environment is highly beneficial.
Pay: €35,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
