Key Details:
Full time kitchen porter.
Raheen Business Park V94 X456
8am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
€14.50 per hour
Duties included :
- Cleaning and sanitising all areas used for meal preparation, along with ovens, grills, sinks, and stoves.
- Continually making sure that work surfaces, floors, and walls are clean and sanitised.
- Washing cutlery, utensils, and cookware so the kitchen staff has constant access.
- Keeping freezers, fridges, and storage areas clean and organised.
- Porters receive and unpack all deliveries, ensuring all food and supplies are correctly placed & rotated .
- General cleaning: They sweep and mop the floors, wipe out bins, change bin liners and clean and organize food storage.
Requirements :
- Attention to detail: As a kitchen porter, you're responsible for organizing, cleaning and storage. This means it's essential to pay close attention to your environment.
- Food safety and sanitizing procedures: Kitchen porters help to keep food from cross-contaminating and ensure that surfaces are clean. You should know how to answer food safety questions, store food properly
- Teamwork: Kitchens are fast-paced environments where you will work with many people, so teamwork skills are essential. You need to be able to take direction and understand the workflow.
- Time management: Kitchen porters must follow a schedule and easily transition between tasks. You should understand how long tasks will take and prioritize your work.
Experience in a similar role is an required
Good level of written and spoken English
High levels of honesty , integrity, and personal hygiene
Team spirit, solution focus, and can do attitude
