The Role.
GMC are currently looking for a Junior Planner to join our growing team in Dublin.
The successful Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes across a range of infrastructure and utilities works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Experience working under NEC contracts is highly desirable.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Commercial teams to produce realistic and achievable schedules
Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and propose mitigation measures
Prepare short-term and look-ahead programmes
Carry out programme impact and delay analysis where required
Support change management and compensation events (particularly under NEC contracts)
Attend project and progress meetings, providing planning updates and reports
Ensure programmes align with construction methodologies, procurement schedules, and resource plans
Assist in the preparation of tender programmes and planning inputs for bids
Maintain accurate planning records and reporting dashboards
The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:
Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
1+ years experience as a Planner within Civils and/or Utilities projects
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and methodologies
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
NEC contract experience is preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
