We are seeking an experienced, organised and hands-on Kitchen Manager & Lead Chef to take ownership of our kitchen operations and lead our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious chef looking to step into a leadership role, or an experienced kitchen manager seeking a rewarding position in a thriving daytime café environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the kitchen team on a daily basis
- Be passionate about creating and developing simple, seasonal dishes that reflect our style and ethos
- Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and presentation
- Manage kitchen systems, organisation and workflow
- Oversee food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
- Maintain HACCP systems and food safety compliance
- Train, support and develop kitchen team members
- Work with management on seasonal menu updates and specials
- Ensure a clean, efficient and well-run kitchen environment
About You
- Previous experience in a chef or kitchen leadership role
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures
- Organised, proactive and solutions-focused
- Calm under pressure and able to lead by example
- Passionate about quality food and hospitality
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
