Overview:
We are excited to announce an opening for a Maintenance Technician with our client, a Global - Medical Device organisation in Athlone. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, cutting-edge company that offers a rewarding career with an attractive benefits package.
The role will initially be day shifts and will move to a 4-cycle shift. Willingness to work across days and nights is important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform timely repair and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment breakdowns.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance routines to minimize downtime.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation for all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Support and lead assigned actions for Engineering projects within the maintenance team.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar technical role within the Medical Device or a highly regulated industry.
- Education: Candidates should hold at minimum a Level 6 qualification. Level 7 and Level 8 would be highly advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Solid experience with mechanical systems in an automated manufacturing setting is essential.
- Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
