A leading and rapidly growing food manufacturing company in Inchicore, Dublin 12, D12 R859 are now looking to recruit a Night Shift Production Supervisor on a full-time permanent basis. The shift will be 5 days per week rotating over 7 days of operation. This role is 40 hours per week. Typical hours are 11:00 pm to 07:30 am.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop the production team.
- Manage team of up to 20 staff including performance, hiring, scheduling, holidays etc.
- Ensure there are adequate skills, provide training & coaching for team members.
- Ensure there are robust open communication forums & feedback mechanisms
- Ensure forecasted production volume is delivered on time, to specification and at optimum cost in line with targeted manufacturing KPIs.
- Work with Quality Control to continuously improve quality control standards and good manufacturing practices.
- Drive lean principles, continuous improvement and KPI awareness across teams.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to optimise production schedule and work force planning to achieve labour costs targets.
- Working with the Head of Operations to implement a production strategy, reviewing long term forecasts ensuring that production capacity and resources are in place and in line with business demands.
- Monitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.
- Work with Quality Control to continuously improve quality control standards and good manufacturing practices.
You will need
- Excellent communication, time management, organisation, and presentation skills.
- Desire to join a rapidly developing company and willingness to develop and implement process.
- Flexible mindset understanding the requirements of working in the FMCG category.
- Ability to form relationships with stakeholders and work with cross functional teams, up to and including board level.
- Production management experience (ideally within the food industry, with knowledge and experience of fresh food production).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, raw materials, Lean management, continuous improvement, commercial business strategy, finance management, budget management, human resource principles and health & safety compliance.
- Excellent IT skills
- Fluent English
Salary 38K per annum
