We are a growing food manufacturing company supplying high-quality products to domestic and international markets. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our production operations and ensure our site and equipment run safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in keeping our production and packaging lines running smoothly. In this food manufacturing environment, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance while upholding high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production, packaging, and site equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime
- Responding efficiently to breakdowns and production issues
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Working in line with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
- Ensuring all maintenance work is carried out safely, following LOTO and site safety procedures
- Collaborating closely with production, quality, and management teams to drive continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Trade qualification or proven experience in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance engineering
- Experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Electrical certification or industrial electrical experience
- Experience with extrusion, moulding, ovens, or automated packaging lines
- Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge
- Welding or fabrication skills
