About the Role
As Kent Stainless continues to grow, we are strengthening our H.R. Department by creating this newly established role. This position reflects both the continued growth of the business and our commitment to investing in our people to support the future success of the company.
Reporting to the H.R. Manager and working closely with the senior leadership team and managers, the successful candidate will provide both strategic and operational H.R. support across organisational development, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compliance and employee engagement. You will help implement people-focused initiatives that support organisational growth, strengthen leadership capability and contribute to the delivery of the Company's Growth Strategy.
This role is focused on helping the business build organisational capability by developing leaders, strengthening talent pipelines and embedding people practices that support long-term sustainable growth.
Hours
Part-time (days and hours to be agreed), with flexibility to possibly increase over time as the business continues to grow
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of H.R. initiatives that underpin the Company's Growth Strategy and long-term business objectives.
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of the Company’s annual strategic plan ensuring H.R. priorities align with business objectives.
- Support organisational development initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, talent management and workforce planning, ensuring the business has the capability required for future growth.
- Support the Company's "promote from within" philosophy by developing internal talent pipelines while identifying opportunities to strengthen capability through external recruitment where appropriate.
- Develop and continuously improve onboarding programmes that accelerate time to competency for new employees.
- Enhance employee development and performance management processes that support career growth, strengthen capability and increase cross-skilling across key operational areas.
- Support the development of frontline leadership capability by ensuring managers and supervisors receive appropriate HR training and coaching, thus strengthening their leadership capability, people management skills and confidence in handling employee relations and performance management matters.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers by providing practical H.R. guidance, coaching and support across a broad range of people-related matters.
- Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic H.R. projects and identify opportunities to improve H.R. processes, systems and ways of working as the company continues to evolve.
- Analyse H.R. metrics and organisational trends to support data-driven decision-making, improve organisational effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure H.R. policies, procedures and practices remain compliant with employment legislation, company policies and H.R. best practice.
- Provide operational H.R. support including recruitment, maintaining accurate H.R. records and documentation, policy development and contributing to the efficient day-to-day operations of the H.R. Department.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
You will build strong relationships across the business, influence positive change and be equally comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree or professional qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering H.R. initiatives within a growing organisation.
- Experience in organisational development, leadership development, succession planning and talent management.
- Experience supporting organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret H.R. data and translate insights into practical business improvements.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Irish employment legislation and H.R. best practice.
- Excellent communication, coaching, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to think strategically while maintaining a practical, hands-on approach.
