Early Years Educator
An opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Educator to join a play-based childcare setting.
Position: Early Years Educator
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible)
Summer Hours: During July and August, hours will reduce to 27.5 hours per week
Location: Ferryfun Childcare & Afterschool Centre, Hillsfield Community Building, Belmont Road, Ferrybank, Waterford
Skills Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Warm, caring and enthusiastic approach with children
- Knowledge of play-based learning and child development
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
- Flexible and reliable
Qualifications Required
- Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECE)
- First Aid training desirable
- Garda Vetting required
- Previous experience working in an early years setting desirable
