Barista & Food Service Assistant
Location: Dublin 1
Hours: Part time – 20 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 1:00pm)
Pay: €14.93 per hour

What you’ll do:

Prepare and serve hot beverages and coffee, delivering consistent quality and presentation

Support the preparation, serving, and replenishment of food across hot counters, deli bars, breakfast stations, and retail areas

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all restaurant, coffee shop, and service areas, including equipment and workstations

Ensure all service areas are fully set up and ready, including allergen information, displays, utensils, and cleanliness standards

Deliver a friendly and professional customer service experience, interacting with customers across dining and retail spaces

Operate the till system and handle transactions in line with company procedures

Assist with stock control and deliveries, following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices

Support supervisors, managers, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth and efficient service

Help train and support new or junior team members where required
What you’ll bring:

Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or barista roles (preferred)

Knowledge of coffee preparation and barista skills (training can be provided)

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen awareness

Excellent customer service and communication skills

A positive, professional attitude with a team-focused approach
-
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support a busy service environment

Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and adapt to changing demands
