APOLLO BLOCKLAYING LIMITED is seeking 2 Bricklayer to work at Carraghy, Claregalway, Galway, H91 C2YF, Ireland. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Galway, with working hours of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and a salary of €39,000 per annum / €18.75 per hour.
This position is offered at New Entrant classification, suitable for candidates within their first two years in the construction sector.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Site Foreman and alongside qualified craftspersons, carrying out bricklaying, blocklaying and masonry duties on construction sites.
Main Duties
Lay bricks, blocks, stones and other masonry units;
Carry out brickwork, blockwork and masonry tasks according to drawings and specifications;
Mix mortar and prepare materials;
Set out lines and levels to ensure correct alignment and finish;
Cut and shape bricks, blocks and masonry units when required;
Apply damp-proof courses, cavity wall ties and insulation materials;
Follow site health and safety procedures;
Carry out other duties as directed by the Site Foreman.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in bricklaying, blocklaying or masonry work;
Ability to follow instructions, drawings and site specifications;
Physical fitness for construction site work;
No formal trade qualification required.
