We are looking for a professional chef with a passion for food and lead a team, positive work attitude, being adaptable, self-starting and a team player
Job Purpose
To assist and substitute the Head Chef/Senior Chef/Chef Manager and general chefs in all aspects of the catering operation as directed within storage, preparation and cooking of all food items, whilst adhering to all Health and Food Safety regulations as laid out in the Health & Safety HACCP and Food Safety Manual, and to demonstrate high levels of service that consistently exceed the expectations of our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- To relieve all duties assigned to the chefs at all levels in different business units as assigned
- To ensure the production of food to the highest quality and service standards using current trends in cooking techniques and new commodities
- To plan, coordinate and order all food requirements as relevant
- Ensuring company food style guides, menu preparation and planning policies are fully implemented
Duties:
- To adhere to standard recipes and production planning in line with specific client participation numbers
- To ensure the prompt service of meals and services at required times to the company's standard and to the satisfaction of the clients.
- Deal effectively with staff and customers by being flexible in accommodating their needs and prioritising tasks effectively
- To ensure that all legally required and company internal records are completed as directed
- To take overall responsibility for the substituted position for all activities in catering areas.
- To ensure all kitchen areas are always left clean and tidy
- To ensure that all stores and other areas of potential loss are always secured.
Infrequent Duties:
- To assist at any special duties or functions which may fall outside of normal working hours this may include Saturdays and Sundays
- To report any customer complaints or compliments and take remedial action wherever possible
- To attend meetings, courses and training sessions as may be necessary from time to time
- To carry out any reasonable senior management request.
Qualification Required: You must have experience working in a kitchen operation in similar role

It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than contracted hours. As part of your job, you will be expected to attend training events and/or meetings and travel to other locations may be required. Local requirements will govern your patterns and locations of work.
