We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our store. The successful candidate will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the store.
- Supervise and support store staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and oversee merchandise displays.
- Assist stocktaking procedures.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally.
- Support cash handling, banking, and reconciliation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Help achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Act as Store Manager in their absence.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role, preferably in grocery or food retail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Good organisational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems.
