Role Purpose
As a Barista / Sales Assistant, you are more than a team member—you are an ambassador for the Butlers brand. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by serving premium coffee, handcrafted chocolates and outstanding service in a warm, welcoming environment.Every interaction is an opportunity to create a memorable experience for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional, personalised customer service to every guest.
- Build genuine rapport with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
- Consistently exceed customer expectations through attention to detail.
Barista Duties
- Prepare premium coffee and specialty beverages to company standards.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and seasonal beverages.
- Ensure consistency in drink quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all coffee equipment and workstations.
Sales & Product Knowledge
- Confidently recommend products and promote seasonal offerings.
- Upsell beverages, chocolates, gifts and retail products naturally.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of our products, ingredients and brand story.
- Process transactions accurately using the till system.
Store Standards
- Ensure displays are fully stocked, attractive and presented to premium standards.
- Follow food safety, HACCP and health & safety procedures.
- Complete opening and closing duties efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised café and retail environment at all times.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively to achieve daily sales and service targets.
- Support colleagues during busy periods.
- Participate in training and continuously develop product knowledge.
- Represent the company values through professionalism and positive attitude.
