Are you an organised, detail‑driven finance professional looking to join a fast‑paced and dynamic accounts team?
We are seeking a Accounts Assistant to support the day‑to‑day financial operations of our growing business.
As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a central role across our full financial accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, journals, and payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice processing and query resolution.
- Support month‑end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and file tax compliance requirements including VAT, Corporate Tax, Income Tax, and PAYE.
- Ensure compliance with Revenue, Companies Registration Office (CRO), and other regulatory deadlines.
- Assist with preparation of monthly Management Accounts, financial reporting packs, and KPIs.
- Support year‑end accounts and audit preparation, including liaison with external auditors.
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, banks, and third‑party service providers.
- Ensure strong compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Assist with payroll processing, staff expense management, and related reconciliations.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with industry experience preferred but not essential , strong experienced candidates will also be considered.
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting systems.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with Irish tax and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced Excel competency, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small, supportive finance team.
