Purpose of the role:
To fulfil the responsibilities of staff nurse within the home, coordinating and managing the care of a cohort of residents assigned to you at each shift and ensuring they are cared for in line with their preferences and medical needs.
General Overview of Responsibilities:

Working with DON & ADON to manage the nursing home safely.

Running the nursing home floor when on duty.

Escalating resident care when appropriate and to the relevant MDT member or HSE service.

Maintaining resident care planning.
-
Medication management
- Engaging with residents and/or their representative for care planning
Requirements:

Valid NMBI pin.

Clear Garda Vetting disclosure.

Experience in an Irish nursing home setting (desired, not essential)

Post qualification/nursing registration experience.
Desired (but not essential):
-
Post-graduate qualification in Gerontology, healthcare management or IPC.
