Production/Packaging Operative
Job description
Exciting, hands-on role for an experienced Production/Packaging Operative wishing to develop their career within a forward-thinking, fast-growing, award-winning food producer selling to Food Service, Independent and Major retail customers across the island of Ireland. Your Role….
Part-time Position – Minimum 2 days split between Production & Packaging
Production Operative
12 hour shifts (7am – 7pm)
- Required to carry out various duties on our bottling line.
Packaging Operative
9 hour shifts (8am – 5pm)
- Required to carry out various duties on our packaging line (packaging orders for customers).
These roles will include
· Meet defined production / packaging targets
· Follow instructions from the area supervisor
· Follow safety rules, including wearing protective equipment
· Adhere to instructions incorporating quality and safety
· Complete all training as identified by the company
· Ad hoc duties that may arise
Skills and characteristics:
· Experience in production / packaging is an advantage but not essential.
· Punctuality and overall good time management are key requirements.
· Flexibility: your duties may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the business.
· Preferably have completed a HACCP training course as per FSAI level 2 guidelines
· A locally based candidate is preferable (near Wicklow town)
· Computer literate. Good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Experience using CRM applications such as One-Up or similar would be an advantage but not essential.
Benefits:
Rate of €15.28 per hour includes holiday pay.
Free training will be given where required
Normal days of operation: Monday – Friday (with a very occasional weekend day)
Location - Hawkstown Lower, Wicklow
Contract Type
Part-time, with an initial three month probation period.
