The Finance Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in our finance department, bridging the gap between finance and various business units within the organisation. This individual will be responsible for analysing company data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Develop financial models and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with business units and department heads to understand their reporting needs and provide recommendations accordingly.
Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by maintaining databases, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing data quality controls.
Reporting: Prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management and business stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with industry regulations and ensure that financial processes and reporting are compliant with relevant financial standards and legal requirements.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance processes, systems, and workflows to optimise efficiency and accuracy.
M&A: Support the alignment of systems and reporting into the group for any acquired companies.
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and research projects as requested by management
Essential:
3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role within the financial industry.
Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau).
Strong understanding of SaaS metrics
Strong understanding of financial concepts, financial statements, and accounting principles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Desirable:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Master's degree or professional certification (e.g. CFA, CPA).
Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems.
